Ask your questions
You would think that once you were saved by God's grace, one would grow in the knowledge of God's word and prosper, but things seem to work out differently. The reason most of us falter is simple.
1 John 2: 16. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world.
Most people are exposed many years, to the lusts of the world, before they receive Christ as there savior, and they get bogged down by habit to the lustful things, which are not of God. Our goal should be to follow the will of God, but in order to do that; we must obtain the directions from the word of God, but the worldly things just get in the way, and we just don't find the time to do so.
Romans 12: 2. And be not conformed to this world: but are ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Now, the fight begins, not for your soul because you have been saved, and your soul is secure in your salvation. You are fighting against the flesh that is lusting for the things of this world, which are not of God. But God is true and faithful to show you the way.
Every believer knows when they are being disobedient. The Holy Spirit, who is living inside every believer, pricks your heart and you're conscious when you disobey God's word. And if you go ahead with the sin anyway, you will be chastised, sometimes very severely, and when you repent; you will feel God's forgiveness, his grace, his peace, and his love, for you. There are different levels that man and woman have to go to in order to seek God's forgiveness and grace. That is why we condemn no one, as every one's circumstances and their past lives are totally different.
Hebrews 12: 5 through 7. And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: For whom the Lord loved he chastened, and scourged every son whom he received.
Romans 3: 23. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God, Just because we have been saved, does not mean we are not going to be tempted by Satan and the dark powers of this world. Being newly saved, our knowledge of how to fight off the sinful temptations of the lusts of this world is at best quite limited. After all, we have been doing things the wrong way for quite some time. When God saved you, you automatically received the gift if the Holy Spirit, which will teach you and let you, know when you are committing sin.
John 14: 26. But the comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
The Holy Spirit will help you with the rights and the wrongs, but you will have to make the decision to obey or disobey God's word.
