PREDESTINATION

Predestination

(Predestination and the Elect are Biblical.)

Romans 8: 29-30 Ephesians 1:5&11 Romans 8:13--9:11--11:5-7--11:28,
Matthew 24:22&31, Mark 13:20&27, Colossians 3:12 1'st, Thessalonians 1:4,
1'st Timothy 5:21 2'nd, Timothu2:10,  Titus 1:1 1'st,  Peter 1:1-2 --2:9,

  God has a passive will,
What he would like to see come to pass.
God also has a decreed will.
What surely will come to pass?

I know of two callings to God in scripture.

John 6:37-44, 65 Acts 2:39
Effectual call made specifically to the elect by God, before the foundation of the world.

General or gospel call given by men.

Matthew 28:19 Acts 17:30-31
God chooses to save some and he also chooses to leave some if they will not believe.

Ex 33:19-Deut 7:6-7-Rom9:10-24 1st Pet 2:8
God has always existed in his glory, and he decided to create a plan from start to finish which could be explained in three segments.

  • Gen. Chapters 1 and 2 (paradise.)
  • Gen. Chapter 3 Rev 20 (paradise lost.)
  • Rev. 21 and 22 (paradise regained.)

The purpose of this creation Rev 4:11 is God's great pleasure and to give God glory. The total creation gives God great pleasure and glory by knowing him, loving him, worshiping him, serving him, and having fellowship with him for all eternity.

It seams that many situations in this plan of God's from creation to paradise regained was predestined before the foundation of the world.
Eph 1: 3-12

Jude 1:14
Enoch who walked with God and was taken up into paradise without experiencing physical death, prophesized or (foretold) the 2nd coming of the Lord (before) the great flood.

Psalm 22
It was foretold and (predestined) about Jesus’ death on the cross.

Foreknowledge or predestined not only means an awareness of what is going to happen but it also means a predetermined relationship in the knowledge of the Lord. God planed before the fact not only observed before the fact.

Ephesians 1:4&5--1st peter 1-1&2
Those that have received salivation though the blood of Jesus by the teaching of men fall into the passive will of God, (that which he would like to see saved.) The Elect fall into the decreed will of God, (predetermined or predestined for teaching and salvation before the foundation of the world.)

It seams that in Gods plan in his creation he knew the whole world would abound in sin and would be destroyed in his flood. All but Noah and his family. Gods plan seams to call for certain special ones to be born in each generation to preserve and teach his word and be protected and guided by him for his great works and pleasure, thus the elected ones or the elect that were chosen before the foundation of the world into service and salvation.
Mark 13:20--Ephesians 1:4&5--Rev 17-8 Romans 9:11-13--9:16--10-20 2nd Tim 1:9
